Ataraxia wine by kevin grant
Kevin grant, originally from blantyre, malawi, and educated in cape town, is a renowned winemaker with a bsc in zoology and a diploma in cellar technology. After working at top estates and studying winemaking globally, he launched ataraxia in 2004. Located in hemel-en-aarde, ataraxia produces hand-crafted wines like sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, pinot noir, and a red blend named 'serenity'.
This wine is sourced from a single, organically grown, cool, south-facing vineyard. Made using a traditional method, the fruit is vigorously worked, and the juice is aerated to a deep ebony color. Fermented in custom burgundian barrels, the wine aged for 10 months before bottling.
