Cwg carel nel boplaas 2015
This port-style dessert wine, crafted by carel nel, features 80% touriga nacional, 10% touriga franca, 6% souzão, and 4% tinta barocca from the western cape. Aged for 12 months in seasoned barrels, it has a deep purplish-red color. The nose offers plush plums, sweet spices, prunes, and anise. The palate is rich with dark plums, spices, black fruits, and a hint of bark, leading to a medium-plus to long finish. Only 60 cases were produced, with 36 auctioned in 2018. Drink from 2018 to 2040. Rated 93 points.
